Managing Time Sheet Entries

Learn how to manage your time sheet entries from within OneBoxBM.

Manage your list of time sheet entries from within the time sheet entry management area.

When managing time sheet entries, the main points to be aware of are.

  • In order to manage time sheet entries, you must be granted access to do so.
  • You can create blank time sheet entries.
  • You can generate time sheet entries from scheduled shifts.
Step-by-step

See below for a step-by-step guide on creating a new time sheet entry, updating an existing time sheet entry and deleting a time sheet entry.

Creating a blank time sheet entry
  1. Navigate to the 'Time Sheet' -> 'Entries' area using the system menu.
  2. Click/press the 'New' button in the top left.

At this point you may be presented with multiple options.
(The available options will depend upon your access to time sheet entries.)

If your creating a personal time sheet entry then.

  1. Click/press the 'Blank Entry' button under 'My Time'.

If your creating a time sheet entry on behalf of another employee then.

  1. Click/press the 'Blank Entry' button under 'Other Employee Time'.
  2. Search for the employee that you wish to create the entry for then click/press select against the relevant record in the list of results.

Once you've made your selection you can then.

  1. Fill out the entry details.
  2. Click/press 'Save & Close'.
Creating a time sheet entry from a scheduled shift
  1. Navigate to the 'Time Sheet' -> 'Entries' area using the system menu.
  2. Click/press the 'New' button in the top left.

At this point you may be presented with multiple options.
(The available options will depend upon your access to time sheet entries.)

If your creating a personal time sheet entry then.

  1. Click/press the 'From Shift' button under 'My Time'.

If your creating a time sheet entry on behalf of another employee then.

  1. Click/press the 'From Shift' button under 'Other Employee Time'.
  2. Search for the employee that you wish to create the entry for then click/press select against the relevant record in the list of results.

Once you've made your selection you will be presented with a list of employee shifts.

Once you've found the shift your looking for click/press 'Select'

(You made need to change the from/to date as this list is limited to a single week.)

  1. Fill out the entry details.
  2. Click/press 'Save & Close'.
Updating an existing time sheet entry
  1. Navigate to the 'Time Sheet' -> 'Entries' area using the system menu.
  2. Use the search to find the time sheet entry that you wish to update .
  3. Click/press the down arrow next the 'View' button and select 'Edit'.
    • You can use the one in the right hand panel or the one in the list.
  4. Make the required changes.
  5. Click/press the 'Save & Close' button.
Deleting a time sheet entry
  1. Navigate to the 'Time Sheet' -> 'Entries' area using the system menu.
  2. Use the search to find the time sheet entry that you wish to delete .
  3. Click/press the down arrow next the 'View' button and select 'Delete'.
    • You can use the one in right hand panel or the one in the list.
  4. When prompted, click/press the 'Delete' button on the confirmation dialog.
