When managing rota template shifts, the main points to be aware of are.
- In order to view/manage the list of shifts, you must granted access to do so.
- Any changes made to rota templates, will only affect rotas created using the template going fowards.
- The shift list is intended as a default, you can modify the list anytime once a rota has been created.
- Each shift will have it's own targets independent of the overall rota targets.
- Each shift has it's own employee role requirements, allowing you to specify how many employees are required for each job role.
- Multiple shifts can be scheduled for each day allowing you split the day into as many shifts as necessary.

See below for a step-by-step guide on creating a new shift, updating an existing shift and deleting a
shift.
Creating a new supplier rota template shift
- Navigate to the 'Rotas' -> 'Rota Templates' area using the system menu.
- Use the search to find the staff rota template that you wish to update.
- Click/press the 'Manage' button.
- You can use the one in the right hand panel or the one in the list.
- Once the template record has loaded, go to the relevant 'Day' tab and click/press 'New'.
- Check the day is correct
- Specify the shift start/end times.
- Enter any other details.
- Click/press the 'Save & Close' button.
Updating an existing rota template shift
- Navigate to the 'Rotas' -> 'Rota Templates' area using the system menu.
- Use the search to find the staff rota template that you wish to update.
- Click/press the 'Manage' button.
- You can use the one in the right hand panel or the one in the list.
- Once the template record has loaded, go to the relevant 'Day' tab and find the shift you wish to update.

Click/press the down arrow next to the 'View' button and select 'Edit Details'.
- Alternatively, you can also click/press 'View' then open the editor from there.
- Make the required changes.
- Click/press the 'Save & Close' button.
Deleting a rota template shift
- Navigate to the 'Rotas' -> 'Rota Templates' area using the system menu.
- Use the search to find the staff rota template that you wish to update.
- Click/press the 'Manage' button.
- You can use the one in the right hand panel or the one in the list.
- Once the template record has loaded, go to the relevant 'Day' tab and find the shift you wish to delete.
- Click/press the down arrow next to the 'View' button and select 'Delete'.
- When prompted, click/press the 'Delete' button on the confirmation dialog.
